Tomorrow starts the 2008 NFL Season. Thank goodness!

Once again, I am hosting the NFL Pool so my friends and I can forego giving our email addresses to companies (like ESPN) that will bombard us with marketing emails for the next century.

Thinking back, I think I have been hosting a pool for 12 years now.  I think (although I am not sure about this) the inaugural NFL Pool was back in 2000.

So, what are my predictions for the season?

1. The Giants will not repeat as Super Bowl Champs.  Let me take it a step further, they will not make the playoffs.
2. Minnesota will win the NFC North with NO QUARTERBACK.  They will direct snap to Adrian Peterson.
3. The Jets with Brett Favre will make the playoffs.  The Packers without Brett Favre will not.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
5. The Buccaneers will have a QB controversy and Jeff Garcia will lose his starting role.
6. The Buccaneers will spend a 1st Round Pick on a Left Tackle in the 2009 NFL Draft.

I am not sure about some of these, but if you are going to walk out on a limb, do it already.
