Tomorrow starts the 2008 NFL Season. Thank goodness!
Once again, I am hosting the NFL Pool so my friends and I can forego giving our email addresses to companies (like ESPN) that will bombard us with marketing emails for the next century.
Thinking back, I think I have been hosting a pool for 12 years now. I think (although I am not sure about this) the inaugural NFL Pool was back in 2000.
So, what are my predictions for the season?
- The Giants will not repeat as Super Bowl Champs. Let me take it a step further, they will not make the playoffs.
- Minnesota will win the NFC North with NO QUARTERBACK. They will direct snap to Adrian Peterson.
- The Jets with Brett Favre will make the playoffs. The Packers without Brett Favre will not.
- Jacksonville Jaguars will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
- The Buccaneers will have a QB controversy and Jeff Garcia will lose his starting role.
- The Buccaneers will spend a 1st Round Pick on a Left Tackle in the 2009 NFL Draft.
I am not sure about some of these, but if you are going to walk out on a limb, do it already.
