With the 20th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select…
I don’t know. And, it is killin’ me!!
What I believe is that the Buccaneers Front Office have had a very good free agency period. They have acquired value and depth without putting themselves back into the salary cap problems left over from the Rich McKay era.
Clearly, the Buccaneers need at least one cornerback in the draft (probably two). Brian Kelly bought out the final year of his contract and signed with Detroit, and the fact that Ronde Barber will turn 33 in April and Phillip Buchanon is in the final year of his contract. Sammy Davis and newly signed Eugene Wilson also have one-year deals. Who is going to play corner in the coming years?
Luckily, this is a deep draft for corners, but what if…
THAT IS THE QUESTION. What if?
Since we don’t know who will be selected ahead of the Bucs pick at 20, we should look at players that might fall into the pick range.
More later.
