Disney’s A Christmas Carol

I saw Disney's A Christmas Carol this weekend. It is an animated retelling of Charles Dickens' classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey through Scrooge's past, present, and future. The story is not new. It is the same story we have seen many times so I won't bore you with a synopsis of the story, but I would like to comment on the technology and the specifics of the film. So a couple of months ago, I was checking out CDBaby.com (a site that has CDs from mostly independent artists). I clicked on the "top sellers" link and saw the CD for sale from Melody Gardot. The CD was recommended if you like Norah Jones and Amos Lee. I am a fan of both Norah (I know her by her first name **winks**) and Amos Lee so I gave it a listen. Smooth. Real Smooth. August Rush

I enjoyed watching the movie, August Rush, recently. I am not sure about what "so-called" experts liked or disliked about this movie, but I was incredibly impressed with the music. Fantastic! I used to play guitar everyday. I am really not a particularly good guitar player, but I have a deep appreciation for those who play well. I was most impressed with the musicianship on this video. So much so that I looked up the musician responsible for this guitar track. Her name is Kaki King. I haven't heard her music before but I certainly intend to give her a listen.
