Diigo for bookmarking and highlighting

Recently, I was discussing with a friend the subject of bookmarking. I realize that most people simply user their browser's bookmarking tool, but I wanted to suggest a different way of remembering the sites you visit. I have been using diigo.com for the past two years.  I have tried using delicious.com (good), Google bookmarks (great), and Evernote (fantastic), but diigo is really good for the way I work and for the way it stores your bookmarks and uses tags.  To take full advantage of this tremendously powerful tool, you should download the extension for Firefox (assuming you are a Firefox user).  The site … [Read more...]

Jott Assistant

Recently, I was trying to think of ways to improve productivity without a great deal of effort.  Also, I was asked by a non-profit group to determine a really inexpensive way to create a group text message. So, I found Jott Assistant.  You simply dial into a toll-free phone number (the assistant knows the user by caller-id) and you are able to constructively use their voice-to-text service. Set … [Read more...]

So, for the last 30-plus years of living in and around Temple Terrace, I had … [Read more...]
