August Rush

I enjoyed watching the movie, August Rush, recently. I am not sure about what “so-called” experts liked or disliked about this movie, but I was incredibly impressed with the music. Fantastic!

I used to play guitar everyday. I am really not a particularly good guitar player, but I have a deep appreciation for those who play well. I was most impressed with the musicianship on this video. So much so that I looked up the musician responsible for this guitar track. Her name is Kaki King. I haven’t heard her music before but I certainly intend to give her a listen.

Another guitarist that reminded me of the playing heard in August Rush was Michael Hedges. He was amazing guitarist that tragically died in a car accident.
