August Rush

I enjoyed watching the movie, August Rush, recently. I am not sure about what "so-called" experts liked or disliked about this movie, but I was incredibly impressed with the music. Fantastic! I used to play guitar everyday. I am really not a particularly good guitar player, but I have a deep appreciation for those who play well. I was most impressed with the musicianship on this video. So much so that I looked up the musician responsible for this guitar track. Her name is Kaki King. I haven't heard her music before but I certainly intend to give her a listen. TECO Franchise Public Hearing

Tampa City Council has scheduled a Special Public Hearing on Thursday, November 6th, at 6:30pm to discuss the TECO Franchise Agreement for the City. I am considering attending if time permits. I agree with Linda Saul-Sena. She wrote a letter to the editor of the St. Petersburg Times outlining the unacceptable agreement proposed by Tampa Electric which would allow them to be the City of Tampa's power provider for the next 25 years. 220 East – Restaurant Review

This weekend I went to 220 East on Davis Island Boulevard for the third time in recent memory.  Everytime we go, we have a good meal.  The service is always good.  They have an excellent menu.  The price is is not expensive, but its not cheap either.  I like it. First, DeeDee and I have been known to split a bottle of wine in our day.  I hate buying a bottle of wine in a restaurant because restaurants seem to mark up an ordinary bottle of wine WAY TOO MUCH.  220 East has a good selection plus the price for a bottle is reasonable.  That's a big plus for me.
